BWC495 Basic Writing Skills for Technical Call Center Representatives

This special course was developed in cooperation with Service Strategies, Inc., a company that specializes in working with technical call centers. The entire training program contains two courses: BWC495 Basic Writing Skills for Customer Support Representatives and BWC497 Writing Customer-Support Messages.

BWC495 Basic Writing Skills for Customer Support Representatives contains training in how to organize messages for customers, write clearly, include everything the customer needs, write clear procedures, and edit and proofread.

If you register for both BWC495 Basic Writing Skills for Customer Support Representatives and BWC497 Writing Customer-Support Messages at the same time, the tuition is reduced from $590 for the two to $495. Read more about this option and discount.

The online lessons contain clear explanations and many examples. You go at your own pace and submit assignments when you are ready. The instructor evaluates the activities and examinations, comments on skills learned and skills that still need polish, coaches you through learning the skills, and certifies your competence. You receive a graduation certificate for framing at the end of the course.

Course Time: You will go through the course at your own pace, so you could complete it within a few weeks. However, you have up to four months to complete the course so you can fit the study time into your schedule. All lessons must be finished within the four-month period.

BWC495 and BWC497 Together: Writing Skills for Customer Support Representatives

License renewal - 495 and 497
Tuition: $1,500.00


The Business Writing Center grants to the Society of
Petroleum Engineers a one-year license to use the online training materials for
BWC495 Basic Writing Skills and BWC497 Writing Customer-Support Messages for
company training as the Society of Petroleum Engineers sees fit. The Society of
Petroleum Engineers may alter the materials as it wishes and use the materials
without restriction on number of trainees or time used. Copyright remains with
the Business Writing Center. There are no further fees for use of the license other
than the fee described in Section 3


The Business Writing Center will send ZIP files of all the HTML code needed for trainees to go through the courses. The Business Writing Center will ensure that the online materials function without problems on the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ server. The Business Writing Center will aid the Society of Petroleum Engineers to arrange the materials so the assignments go to the Society trainers.


The sole fee for the one-year license described in Section 1 is $750 per course.  The total payment is $1,500.
